Tucked away in the heart of America in Northeast Iowa, it is a safe and serene place. The meandering trout streams, rugged sandstone bluffs, and springs appeal to the nature lover in all of us. This is a place to enjoy plentiful wildlife and scenic rivers with sandy islands, panoramic valleys, historic towns and timbered hills. Allamakee County also has many privately owned attractions and recreational opportunities.

Located in southeastern Minnesota, this 19-mile trail was developed by a group of neighbors with a passion for ATVs. The trail is entirely on private land and leads riders through backdrops of field, forest, pasture and woods. Please respect the private landowners and stay on the marked trails. This trail is provided by the City of Chatfield and maintained by the Chatfield ATV Trails Club.

Natural unpaved trail. Lost Creek Hiking Trail is about 6.5 miles long one way. It is located west of Chatfield with parking access at Groen Park Trailhead (Co. Rd. 2) and at the Ninebark Road Trailhead (Co. Rd. 101). Hiking & Snowshoe only.

Discover fossils ~ 450 million years old. See cave formations both delicate and massive. 60ft. Waterfall, wedding chapel, stalactities. Temperature is 48 degrees. Walking shoes are also recommended.
