The Museum features a virtual tour of the old Allamakee Courthouse built in 1861. The Log Cabin and the Red Schoolhouse take you back to an earlier time. Be sure to visit the Museum store. Home of John Froelich's invention of the first gasoline tractor. Tour highlights 1891 General Store and Post Office, replicas of Froelich's first tractor, 1866 one room school, blacksmith shop and warehouse, railroad depot and train cars, barn and semi building. We are closed on Tues & Wed's each week. We open for tours on May 11th through the last full weekend in September, and the first two weekends in October.
