Welcome to the Allamakee County Historical Society Museum and Genealogy Research Center! The Genealogy offers a list of records to help you trace your family tree. The Museum features a virtual tour of the old Allamakee Courthouse built in 1861. The Log Cabin and the Red Schoolhouse take you back to an earlier time. Be sure to visit the Museum store. Pizza on the Farm – Saturday 5pm, May to Labor Day. Our pizzas are made entirely from scratch. We use fresh vegetables from our farm, fresh pulled mozzarella and meat from local producers. Beer and wine is available.

Authentic arms and armor used by Grecians, Romans, Dark Age Warriors, Vikings, Crusaders, and Renaissance “Knights in Shining Armor.” Open 1-4 Fridays and Saturdays year round. Sundays Memorial Day to Labor Day. Group days by appointment.
