Lawler, Iowa, is a slice of heaven in Chickasaw County, and is home to the beautiful Lawler Area Veterans Memorial, complete with monuments and statues honoring the many area veterans, including the Cutsforth family, whose eight sons served during WWII and the Korean War.
Lawler’s annual Irish Festival takes place the third weekend in June as a tribute to its heritage. Food, music, and community service all come together for this fantastic weekend, but the town’s greatest asset is its people!
The Oneota Community Food Co-op is a cooperatively-owned grocery store specializing in organic, local, and sustainably produced products since 1974. For over four decades we have been providing whole foods at a reasonable cost, with an emphasis on organic, local, and bulk foods. Everyone is welcome at the Co-op!
